Spotify playlist deep link generator

Paste a link to your track and the playlist it's on, and get a link that opens Spotify on your specific track inside the playlist, and starts playing the playlist from there.

Your link plays the track inside the playlist in the Spotify apps on phones and desktop. The browser player sometimes shows the track's own page instead.

What a playlist deep link is

If you share a normal track link, it just plays the track on its own. If you share a normal playlist link, people land at the top of the playlist, 40 tracks above yours.

A deep playlist link does both jobs at once. It opens on your track, and after your track ends, the playlist keeps playing from there. Under the hood it's an ordinary Spotify track link with the playlist tacked on the end:

https://open.spotify.com/track/your-track-id?context=spotify:playlist:your-playlist-id

How to make one

  1. 1

    Copy your track link

In Spotify, hit the three dots next to your track, then Share, then Copy link.

  2. 2

    Copy the playlist link

Same again from the playlist's menu. Pick a public playlist that your track is on.

  3. 3

    Paste both and copy

You get a link you can copy and use wherever you like.

What it's good for

Drive streams to your other tracks
Make a playlist of your own, and share a deep link to your track on it. When your track ends, your other tracks keep playing right after it. With a normal track link, you miss out on those free extra streams.
Show off the playlist you landed on
Your track made it onto a big playlist? Share a link that plays it inside that playlist, so everyone sees the playlist it landed on.
Thank the curator
Everyone who opens your link listens to it on the curator's playlist. Curators remember artists who bring listeners and are more likely to work with them in the future.
Open your playlist on any track
If you're a curator or just run your own playlist as a hobby, create a link to start it on the specific track you want people to hear first.
